RadioMaster TX16S MKII HALL V4.0 4-in-1
This is a very very nice radio for the price. The only problem is that it has so many features that it's unlikely that I will ever use some of them. But I do think that it's better to have something with more potential than something that can't do what you want it to. I decided on the 4-in-1 module. Because I doubt if I will ever need the other one. Because it's more towards the drones. And if I ever do decide to get back into drones I can always get the external module that I will need for them. But for right now I just want to be able to get my planes off the ground and keep trying to learn how to fly the smaller 3D helicopters.
I’ve been wanting an EdgeTX radio for a while. It’s hard to believe a radio this well made is under $200!
Yes, there’s a learning curve with EdgeTX, but once it clicks, it’s very easy to set everything up. Having the internal multi protocol covers all the bases, and still allows for an external module for longer range options.
Bottom line is, if you’re looking for a great radio that covers the bases, you can’t go wrong with this one.
Product arrived after around 4-5 days and was in original packaging.
The title says it all!
Coming from NX8 were the controller seems very antiquated, menus that will make a person rage quit a hobby, gimbals are not smooth at all, and BNF templates are not very good, this RadioMaster is a amazing!
For me the tipping point was, I got away from Blade helis and started flying Goosky helis. The cost of satellite receivers would soon start getting out of hand and the RadioMaster TX16S will bind directly to the S1 and S2 without any additional receivers! I was pleasantly surprised that the controller came with a OMP M2 heli programmed already, I copied, changed name and double checked settings. No kidding, had my S1 bound and up and flying within 10 minutes of first powering up controller!
I am about 6 weeks into the controller and I couldn't be happier. Gimbals are buttery smooth (check out vid). I now have a generic Heli template I use as a starter point that keeps all my settings, timers, warnings, etc. You can customize everything! Pictures, sounds, backgrounds, widgets, font colors, etc...
BE SURE to order a battery and neck strap as the controller doesn't come with either.
I'm very happy with the radiomaster it feels good in my hands and has lots of great features
Ordered a new Tx16s transmitter by radiomaster and lipo to go in it. Shipped within a day and was delivered within 3 days. Would definitely buy from them again.
Amazing radio.
RadioMaster TX16S MKII HALL V4.0 4-in-1
Shipped quick and arrived well packaged. Installed battery and fired it up. Updated EdgeTx to latest version and started playing around. Being new to the hobby and this being my first TX there was a bit of a learning curve, but nothing an hour or two on youtube couldn’t solve. Within the first day I was paired to a Blade 120s2 and all functions worked correctly. Comparing feature to feature you will spend $800-1000 more if you go with Futaba or Spektrum. The 4in1 with the ability to add on an external ELRS module gives the ultimate in versatility to have one TX to rule them all. Would buy again.
