VMAR Kitfox EP ARF Kit - Yellow (62" Wingspan)
VMAR Kitfox 64" Electric Kit - One Foxy Lady.
Instantly recognizable in the kit plane world, the "Denney Kitfox" took to the skies in 1984, offering the ultimate in kit plane functionality with folding wings for easy storage, rugged STOL capability, and the ability to be built by any handyman looking for his very own airplane that was easy to fly. Heavily revised over its lifespan, the Kitfox has proven itself with massive capability, making this aircraft a truly coveted design that is ready to take to the skies in epic kit form.
Beautifully modeled by VMAR, the Kitfox endears itself instantly, drawing from its true scale form with excellent STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) capability. With its instantly recognizable flaperon design that aids STOL capability, the VMAR Kitfox is beautiful from every angle, with nimble flight characteristics and an ultra wide flight envelope that is gentle and forgiving.
Dressed in vivid Polycote ECS covering with a robust balsa & ply construction, the Kitfox is an all electric affair, with a (4) channel layout for maximum control. Utilizing full span ailerons that are actuated by (1) servo per aileron for optimal levels of precision, the Kitfox offers nimble flight characteristics with a true scale flight envelope that is ready to thrill pilots young and old.
With scale details that include clear side windows, cabin seats and a detailed instrument cluster, VMAR went to great lengths in capturing the scale functionality of this uniquely beautiful plane. Furthering this true life detail, the Kitfox can be setup in tail dragger form or a tricycle gear layout, offering maximum levels of personal choice when setting up this aircraft for flight.
Capturing scale perfection with a beautiful aesthetic livery, the VMAR Kitfox is a thrill to own and fly, with an easy assembly process thanks to its bolt together, no glue ARF design. Specifically designed for smooth and powerful electric power, the VMAR Kitfox is a true scale STOL machine, transforming rugged terrain into functional runways, and rewarding the pilot at hand with epic scale flight that you'll never want to end.

Nice plane, fit and Finnish is good. Planning a .40 O.S. fs that has been in my possession for a few years now.
KITFOX COMMENTS
Curt McIntyre
General comments:
• I felt that the kit was an excellent value for the money. I will definitely look at other models when I’m done with this one.
• A person with no or minimal experience and/or building equipment would have trouble with this kit.
• I have not flown the Kitfox yet so item 1 above might be modified.
Specific Comments:
1. Kit arrived ahead of time.
2. No damage found and all parts were present.
3. Covering “application” was outstanding
a. Minimum wrinkling in the covering
4. Covering color opacity, depth, and overall color appearance was poor.
5. Tried to iron out minor wrinkles to ensure good adhesion. I was not successful, making more wrinkles than were ironed out. Perhaps the iron was too hot.
6. Excellent segregation and packaging of parts.
7. Nice level of pre-assembly:
a. Ailerons were attached to the wing halves.
b. Rudder attachment bolts were attached
c. Rudder was attached to the vertical stabilizer assy.
d. Elevators were attached to the horizontal stabilizers
e. Aileron servo mounting blocks are glued.
f. Elevator and rudder pushrod hardware is attached at each end.
g. Wing and elevator strut attachment hardpoints are pre-installed.
h. Aileron pushrod assemblies are pre-assembled.
8. Length of aileron servo support bars should bee 10mm longer for complete mounting screw coverage.
9. Pre-drill servo and door switch mounting bars to prevent the splitting of the plywood.
10. Nose wheel bracket was mounted.
11. Aileron mounting tabs did not have enough clearance for the screw mounting tabs for complete insertion of the servo on to the servo mounting plate. Used Dremel tool to create sufficient clearance. This was not a big deal. Took about 15 min. to disassemble, re-work, and re-assemble.
12. Be certain to “test-fit” components prior to assembly.
i. Servo arm to pushrod bolt
ii. Servo body to servo mounting plate
13. Statement on cover page of instruction manual: It is highly recommended that 1st time builders seek advice of experienced modelers before beginning assembly. Should be bolded and written in larger font.
14. Single hole drilled in the main wing strut support block is 5mm to far out. Had to drill new holes.
15. Cowl color “yellow” was a poor match to the yellow on the fuselage.
My plane suffered shipping damage. 6 out of 10 special aileron hinges were broken. The plane was very good otherwise. Using brushless power it was very tailheavy even with 3200ah 3s lipo. Helidirect was very responsive in damage control
excellent flies great
definatly a different plane should be a good flier
Very nice plane I am still choosing a motor but the build is very straight forward and the plane looks very nice.
Very true to scale and with flaperons short take of and landing {STOL} is amazing
