YX BO105 4CH Scale RC Helicopter w/ Automatic Stabilization System (4 Blades) - PRO Version - Orange
Initial start and binding procedure went according to instructions and the heli flys very nicely. However, the translation from Chinese to English doesn’t mention that once the initial binding procedure has been accomplished you need to reverse the order for all subsequent flight and turn the helicopter battery on before turning on the transmitter. Once I got that figured out it works as it should.
I can't believe how well this little bird flies for the money! I fly it around inside a big shop and it has plenty of speed to make it fun. So far its been very tough...no broken parts even after I managed to get it stuck under a race car lol. The wind is non stop in CO so I keep this one indoors. I think It would just blow away and never be seen again outside. Zero Regrets.
1st one was bad, called the company and they told me to send it back, they said it was defective, sent me a new one very fast, great service, very fast shipping, the copter flies great, very satisfied with this company.
Have several of these little Bo-105's and love them. Started collecting them by the various liveries available etc. I'm a fixed wing pilot but enjoy these little droneish-heli's as they are a lot of fun to fly without the skill of a true heli pilot. I like to fly scale which is quite relaxing I find. The most durable little heli's I own, my "beater" has been crashed so many times into trees, chainlink fence, garage, garage again, and again, (this has become my flying in wind trainer so not afraid to bruise it although with these little light ones really should avoid wind as they pretty much can become a stringless kite if not careful & fly by suggestion and not command) and still flying to this day albeit a little wonk by now even after a surgery or two. Still flies though even after all the abuse I've brought upon it. Definitely something 5 O'clock Charlie would be proud to fly (MASH fans will understand). My 10 yr old grandson is just now getting in the hobby and got him one of these for Christmas along with the 129 Firefox. These make for the perfect place for someone to start in the hobby in my book. Got him the orange one as the easiest to see should he get it out of sorts. Hopefully he sticks with RC aviation & gets out from behind that game screen, plus I need someone to leave the contents of my hangar to..
This is a blast! I can’t believe it was $100 with some spares and a second battery. Light years ahead of the flybar and coaxial models. Quick and responsive. Love how easy the batteries plug in. Having lights on the front and rear is a nice touch. Good detail on the fuselage. Small enough to enjoy in my garage. Needs to be very calm to fly outside because it’s so light. Pretty tough too. It has survived a couple impressive crashes. Biggest surprise was that it arrived within a week of ordering. It’s not a hardore aerobatic helicopter. It’s a good in-between that’s a step up from a drone or coaxial heli.
Way underpowered, doesn’t handle wind, control isn’t precision enough to fly inside tight spaces. Once rotor is initiated it doesn’t just shut off immediately if you lower the throttle to zero, it keeps going for several seconds. This makes it hard to land. You can use the land and takeoff button but the heli drifts so hard to make a precise landing. Overall not very fun, and I pad $82 before it went on sale. My advice is don’t waste your money unless you just like the looks.
If you just want something to fly around the house that can take a few beating, this definitely fits the choice. Easy to fly and tough as hell, cant complain for the price.
