Part fit is perfect as usual. The last main frame I ordered had a matte finish that did not match my original glossy parts. Was informed that gloss was not available, and I also confirmed this through SAB. Apparently they transitioned to the matte finish at some point and no longer make the gloss finished parts. I understand, so I ordered a second main frame to match the new matte finish frame I recently purchased. Guess what. This latest frame has the gloss finish I needed to begin with. I wouldn’t have purchased another one had I received this one the first time. Now, I have a matching set on my heli and an extra that doesn’t match. It would seem to me that helidirect has some leftover stock that is being sold. Somewhat aggravated that I don’t know what I’m getting when I order, especially after being told the gloss finish parts are not available. A little consistency would be nice.
The SAB Goblin frame has the quality and fit you would expect. My only complaint is that it doesn’t match the ones I already had. This one has a fairly matte finish and mine are glossy. Apparently there is a version 2 and I can only assume that must be the correct one to match my parts. I have found absolutely no info about the difference between the 2. Mine also seem slightly thicker, which might be attributed to the resin coating, although I have not measured the thickness. I hope this review helps others choose the correct replacement part.
