You want to use with Rotor Tech and similar Fun-Key manufactured blades? Fun-Key root size is 5.15mm, the Goo-sky RS4 blade grip is 5.5mm. These shims is required or you have the potential to distort your main blade grip.

Without the shims, theres a little play in the rotor that could be incorrectly fixed by tightening down the grip bolts more. This will bend the grips and cause incorrect instal of the amazing rotortech blades
I used these for the OMP M4 to put Steam 390 blades on it. I put one above each blade and it makes that blade fit the blade grips perfectly.
