This little girl has balls. Alot faster than I thought it would be. I have to tell myself to keep it in the bowl. Little thing is what other micro helicopters should be. Be careful and put as much color on it as you can.
Fantastic durability and parts availability make this a great first heli.
Bought this to fly indoors in a gymnasium it is a really quick little bugger! It moves so fast it is like an angry hummingbird while quite stable in regular mode flip the switch to put it in 3D mode with 100% rates and watch out - blink and it’s gone - this little bugger darts, flips and twirls incredibly fast much faster than I my old eyes can see. It is very stable and flys very well as long as you can see it without losing orientation. A great well behaved docile little helicopter in beginner mode for beginners; however it is a severe handful in expert mode especially if you are not an expert!
Bought the pink S1 with the pink tail boom , pink landing gear , and pink tail blades. Thing sticks out like a sore thumb. It looks good , runs like a pink bat out of hell. Flys so smooth and has more power than I need. It's an amazing little heli. Well done goosky.
For your buck
Flys great right out of box lm running spektrum time to retire align t15 S1 is much more locked in
What a fucking lil ripper! Heli lot of fun! Seriously, I gotta chop it up to goosky! They collectively made a badass heli! Durable lil thing skid me not!
First off, tail hold on this helicopter is flawless. There are a few problems out of the box that I would like to address. For one thing out of the box this helicopter is extremely squirrely. It feels like it wants to leap forward if you press the stick even slightly more than half way forward. For 3D this is no bueno in my book. But these things are tunable and fixable. First off, I recommend going into the flight controller settings and turning the gyro setting on BOTH the aileron and elevator channels to 45 percent. Secondly, program a deadband elimination curve into your radio and apply it to the aileron and elevator channels. These two actions will make the helicopter feel more fluid and responsive to small stick movements and give you finer control over the helicopter ESPECIALLY in non-self leveling mode where having the gyro setting too strong makes the heli want to snap back to center slightly too much making extremely hard to move the helicopter slowly and smoothly. Because of the need for a deadband elimination curve I CANNOT in good faith recommend this helicopter for spektrum users as spektrum radios do not support custom input curves like that. Aside from that, once I did all of those things the helicopter is loads of fun to fly and to do flips and stunts with. This helicopter is extremely stable and the tail holds perfectly with no nervous jitters or whacky oscillations. It is extremely smooth and I have NO idea how goosky did it. Lastly I freaking DIG the fact that I don't have to take the canopy off to deal with batteries anymore. That's a HUGE plus. This heli is fantastic.
I bought this because the guys at my field said it would be way better than the old blade mcpxbl I had. They where exactly right this thing is hands down 10x better than the mcpx bl is. I can say enough about how stable and better quality this s1 is. Buy it you want be disappointed.
The S1 is my first CP heli. After an hour of flying in a sim (AccuRC) I felt confident enough to maiden the S1. The S1 was actually just a little more touchy IRL than a 700mm heli in the Sim. It has the look and feel of high quality. I am very glad that I decided to spend up for quality. The S2 will be my next heli. The S1 is a blast to fly in the backyard. Well done Goosky!
