FlyWing BELL-206 V3 Scale Helicopter - RTF

I ordered the 206 to have something small to fly around the school parking lot. The helicopter performed even better than expected. The flight time was well longer than advertised at around 25 minutes of gentle pattern flying. The GPS mode was perfect for exposing a few of my colleagues to the RC Heli world. I would recommend this helicopter to anyone from a beginner to a seasoned professional. I am exceedingly satisfied with my purchase! I will definitely be buying additional models in the future!!!

This is the easiest flying helicopter I own. This thing is beautiful! The quality is good, but my cowl latch needed tweaking before it would work. The radio and gps are mounted with foam double back tape and the body is attached to a wooden sub base with glue. Mine porpoises at speed, but that might be a CG issue. Pro tip: The tail rotor will hit the ground before the fin, so invert the fin to have long side down. All that said, you get a great flying machine for great price.

All I can say is wow.. Like another reviewer here, I to started to get in to helis around 30 or so years ago when there were NONE of the tricks and tech goodies we have today. I never really quite got the hang of it. NOW, today, It's so easy to fly them, that I can now finally enjoy the hobby! Not to mention, do it with a gorgeous scale fuselage too boot. Great looking heli, flies REALLY nicely right out of the box. Shipping from Helidirect was prompt, BUT, Hated that I have to sign for it, which meant a days delay in receiving it which was kind of annoying. (Shipped VIA UPS)
I only have two gripes, and they are miniscule.. The first is the velcro on the battery is on the wrong side. You can't connect the battery to speed control with the velcro on the one side. No big deal there, and the second is the unavoidable annoying sound of that tail rotor motor. Someday, a nice belt driven tail would be SO much nicer.
Sorry about the kind of crummy video, but didn't have using it in a review in mind when I shot it, and I was alone, so had to have one hand on the radio at least. ;)

Very, very good RC helicopter. Some critical screws were found loose/stripped. The tail vertical stabilator screws were stripped and the lower half was not long enough to prevent a tail rotor strike. I repositioned it (flipped over) to prevent a tail rotor strike and used different screws to reattach it. Has flown perfectly every flight. I followed Mike Duncan you tube videos for radio set up which I completely recommend. I recommend this bird to anyone with some tech know how and setup patience.

The helicopter arrived in overall good shape. The removable canopy had some scratches. I tried to contact customer service through the website with no response.
